Deborah Canning of Women & Infants’ Hospital was presented with the Clinical Excellence Award. The award is given annually to one nurse who exemplifies clinical excellence, as well as community and professional involvement, compassion for patients and their families, and innovation in practice. Canning is the first recipient of this award from Women & Infants’ Hospital. She and her family live in Johnston.
