Demand down, Nextera fires 114

LEXINGTON – Noting a diminishing demand for its Internet consulting services, Nextera Enterprises, Inc. announced that it was firing 114 employees, 15 percent of its workforce. The company said it would include consultants and administrative staff. The company said it would be taking a $1.5 million to $2 million restructuring charge in the fourth quarter to reflect severance costs
