Dennis L. Algiere, senior vice president, chief compliance office and director
of community affairs at The Washington Trust Company, has been named
to the consumer advisory council of the Federal Reserve Board in Washington,
D.C. He will serve a three-year term. Algiere also serves on the anti-money-laundering
and anti-terrorism committees of the American Bankers Association. He was selected
by President Bush to serve on the advisory committee of the John F. Kennedy
Center for the Performing Arts. Algiere lives in Westerly.
