PROVIDENCE — Gov. Lincoln Almond said last week he was informed by Algen Construction
and Development that the company has secured a $38.7 million loan from New York-based
M.K.D. Capital Corp. to develop a 216-room luxury hotel in the Masonic Temple,
adjacent to Veterans Auditorium. The project still needs approval by the Capital
Center Commission.
