Dr. David B. Abrams, professor of psychiatry and human behavior, and director
of the Centers for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine, Brown Medical School/The
Miriam Hospital, was recently inaugurated as President of the Society of
Behavioral Medicine. Abrams is a recognized leader in the transdisciplinary
research and recently procured a grant from the National Cancer Institute to
create a Transdisciplinary Tobacco Use Research Center, one of seven TTURCs
in the country.
