Ellen McCarty has been named to the board of trustees at St. Joseph Health Services of Rhode Island. She is a professor of nursing at Salve Regina University and is a scholar and researcher in the areas of geropsychiatry and family care. She serves as chairperson of the Salve Regina University Institutional Review Board. McCarty has a M.S. from Boston University and a Ph.D. in nursing from Boston College.
