HOPKINTON – Joining the job-cutting rush, EMC Corp., data storage company, announced that it was laying off 2,400 employees, about 10 percent of its workforce, the Boston Globe reported. The Globe said the company hadn’t decided where among its 23,400 employees the layoffs would come from. The Globe also said EMC was considering delaying some of its planned building projects along Route 495.
