EMC to buy storage software firm

HOPKINTON — EMC Corp. announced it had purchased CrosStor Software, Inc. of
South Plainfield, N.J. for about $300 million stock, Dow Jones News reported.
CrosStore was founded in 1990 by AT&T Bell Labs engineers and was called
Programmed Logic Corp. until it name was changed in February. EMC is a maker
of storage systems and software.
