Employee retention is focus of new consulting firm

COVENTRY, R.I. — Redwood Retention, a new consulting firm aimed at helping organizations retain employees, has begun operations.

The firm, according to managing partner Kate McCarthy-Barnett, Ed.D, currently is marketing its services to potential clients. Staff includes one full-time member and several independent contractors, she said.

McCarthy-Barnett, a member of the Communications Committee of the President’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, has developed an exit interview model focusing on four areas that drive employee retention: communications, opportunities, relationships and environment (CORE).
