Ernest A. Balasco, who stepped down as CEO of Wood River Health Services in Hope Valley on Dec. 31, has been named vice president and chief operating officer of Thundermist Health Center. Last year, Balasco also served as interim CEO of Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island for seven months. Before Wood River, he spent nine years at St. Joseph Hospital, as director of social services and head of the Center for Health and Human Services.
