Fidelity appoints Steve Jonas to new chief administrative post

Fidelity Investments appointed
Steve Jonas to the newly created position of chief administrative
officer at the largest U.S. mutual fund company.

Jonas, who had been chief financial officer at Fidelity’s
parent, FMR Corp., will report directly to Edward Johnson,
chairman and chief executive officer, spokesman Vincent Loporchio
said.

Jonas will manage the firm’s departments of finance, human
resources, legal and government affairs, corporate affairs,
operations and corporate services. The departments previously had
been overseen by Bob Reynolds, Fidelity’s chief operating officer
and vice chairman.

Laura Cronin, chief financial officer of Fidelity Brokerage,
will take over for Jonas as CFO of FMR. Fidelity hasn’t named a
replacement for Cronin yet, Loporchio said.

Reynolds continues to oversee Fidelity’s various businesses,
including Fidelity Management & Research, Fidelity Brokerage and
Fidelity Employer Services Co.
