Fidelity currently employs some 1,600 workers at its facilities on Route 7, across from Bryant College. The company, which completed its first building here in 1998, recently completed a second building.

Fidelity has signed a long-term lease for two stories of the privately owned, three-story Smithfield Office Center, near Rtes. 7 and 295, Laporchio told PBN.com.
