FleetCenter owner Delaware North Companies has placed single-day naming rights, beginning yesterday, to the Boston sports and entertainment venue up for sale on online auction site eBay.
With Bank of America’s purchase of FleetBoston Financial, the naming rights to the Boston arena are available to a new corporate bidder. While that process unfolds, however, Buffalo-based Delaware North has offered fans a chance to be owners for a day, Delaware North said.

Bidding starts at $25 and all proceeds go to charity.
The process will continue intermittently as the facility negotiates with potential long-term corporate naming rights partners, officials said in a release. Already, the arena’s Web site describes the facility as “YourCenter.”
Perks of the single-day naming rights include a press release announcing the winning bidders; “Welcome to the ‘YourCenter’” exposure on the in-arena Jumbotron and its LED signs; “Front-page exposure” on the “YourCenter” Web site; a thank you for calling the “YourCenter” announcement on the facility’s phone lines; a framed photo collage commemorating “YourCenter,” including a ticket issued from your box office and official certificate; and four Premium Club seats to see that day’s event.
