Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are lower for the third consecutive week, this week by an average of four cents per gallon, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s Aug. 21 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self serve unleaded averaging $3.049 per gallon, four cents less than last week and six cents less than three weeks ago. A year ago at this time the average price was $2.649.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for regular unleaded is from a low of $2.979 to a high of $3.119.
