Gennaro Ferraro has been awarded the Amgen Award for science teaching excellence. The award recognizes science teachers in K-12 public and private schools. Ferraro teaches general science and biology, including AP biology, biochemistry and applied physics at Burrillville High School. He has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and a master’s in education from the University of Rhode Island.
