George S. Farrell, Providence Fire Chief, has been named president of the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs. Chief Farrell was named Providence fire chief in May 2007. He has served as Rhode Island fire marshal, acting director of the city of Providence Department of Inspection and Standards, and fire marshal, deputy fire marshal, lieutenant and firefighter for the Providence Fire Department. •
