PROVIDENCE — Gilbane Properties announced that it and a business partner had
acquired a former Osram Sylvania lamp plant in Danvers, Mass., for $5.7 million
and planned to convert the building into offices and research facilities. The
partner is College Street Investments of Hamilton, Mass. Osram Sylvania, whose
headquarters is in Danvers, also operates a glass factory in Central Falls. The
project, Gilbane announced, would be a 15.2 acre campus for three connected buildings
with a total floor space of 275,000 square feet.
