American Biophysics launches mosquito activity forecast
NORTH KINGSTOWN – American Biophysics Corp., manufacturer of the Mosquito Magnet, an insect abatement trap, has teamed with The Weather Channel, a provider of weather information, in an advertising and content sharing partnership.
The partnership included the launch this month of the companies’ first-ever, geo-specific Mosquito Activity Forecast that provides users with a gauge of how active mosquitoes will be in their area. The forecast, developed and managed by a team of meteorologists from The Weather Channel, provides hourly predictions of mosquito activity nationwide based on weather conditions such as temperature, wind and humidity.
“This integrated partnership addresses a significant need for people who want to comfortably enjoy the time they spend outdoors – the need for accurate and relevant information about biting insects, teamed with proven protection solutions,” said Robert Howland, American Biophysics Corp.’s sales and marketing vice president.
