Under the terms of the agreement, GTECH will provide Camelot with an interactive channel architecture and baseline transaction engine, powered by the company’s latest lottery-management system offering, GTECH Enterprise SeriesT, enabling Camelot to sell instant and online lottery games over the Internet to players in the United Kingdom. This solution will be integrated into Camelot’s AlphaGOLS system, previously supplied by GTECH.
Sales of instant tickets over the Internet are expected by end of 2002 and online tickets in mid 2003.
