Tuesday, GTECH Holdings Corp. and the R.I. Lottery amended their lottery contract from 2003. The R.I. Lottery also gave written consent to the 2006 merger of GTECH and Lottomatica S.p.A., Gold Holding Co. and Gold Acquisition Corp. (In that merger GTECH was the surviving corporation.)

Also Tuesday, the Georgia Lottery Corporation informed GTECH, in writing, that it was consenting to the merger and confirmed that the merger would not cause the termination of, nor the commencement of formal termination procedures regarding, GTECH’s Georgia Lottery contract.
GTECH stated that, assuming there is no further action by either state lottery, the company believes the merger agreement’s conditions in respect to the company’s Georgia and R.I. Lottery contracts have been satisfied.
