ATLANTA — A study released by Cingular Wireless, with offices in Providence,
reveals that men talk 35 percent more on their wireless phones than do women.
Men use their wireless phones an average of 372 minutes a month, compared to an
average of 275 minutes a month for women. Women still dominate when it comes to
traditional phone use, but men are the heaviest users of wireless “big bucket”
plans — 20.2 percent of guys use 600 minutes a month or more. Only 9.9 percent
of women use 600 minutes or more.
