Robert T. Gormley, president and CEO at Citizens Bank of Rhode Island, has been
named to the board of trustees of Roger Williams Medical Center. He has been president
and CEO at Citizens of Rhode Island since 1999, previously serving as chairman,
president and CEO at Citizens Bank New Hampshire. He graduated from Providence
College in 1970 and has been active in local fund-raising and community revitalization
efforts throughout his career. He is a member of the Rhode Island Economic Development
Council, the Providence Foundation and the United Way of Southeastern New England.
He serves on the CEO advisory committee for Junior Achievement Rhode Island and
the President’s Council for Providence College. He is a resident of East Greenwich.
