Deborah A. Butterworth of Smithfield has been named Employee of the Year at the Rhode Island MRI Network. She is the lead technologist for the Network’s MRI facility at the Fogarty Unit of Landmark Medical Center in North Smithfield. As Employee of the Year, she receives the Benjamin & Sandol Sturges educational grant for career development. The grant was created by the R.I. MRI Network board of directors to honor the late Benjamin A. Sturges, who served as secretary/treasurer of the Network for many years, and his wife Sandol, who volunteered in a variety of health care-related positions.
