Heather Singleton, vice president of operations of the Rhode Island Hospitality and Tourism Association, has been appointed to the Providence/Cranston Workforce Investment Board by Providence Mayor David N. Cicilline. She is responsible for the planning, oversight and evaluation of area workforce development programs. As vice president of RIHTA, Singleton oversees the daily management of staff, develops fundraising events and manages volunteers, including board, committee and council members. She also serves as staff liaison to the vice president of Events & Sponsorships and vice president of Public Affairs. Singleton received a associate’s, bachelor’s and graduate degrees from Johnson & Wales University. She lives in Providence.
