Herb Weiss has been appointed economic & cultural affairs officer in the department of planning and redevelopment for the City of Pawtucket. He is responsible for economic development activities along with oversight of cultural and artistic programs, including media relations for economic, arts and cultural events and for fundraising the City festivals. Weiss is a board member of the Pawtucket Armory Association and the Slater Historic Site. He is also the membership chair of the Pawtucket Rotary Club. Weiss earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and a master’s degree from North Texas State University. He lives in Pawtucket.
