Hertz opens two locations in southeastern Massachusetts

FALL RIVER – As part of the company’s efforts to expand into the off-airport market in New England, The Hertz Corporation has opened new car rental locations in Fall River and North Attleboro, as well as Revere, Somerville and Springfield.



The new locations will provide customers with a full assortment of rental vehicles, including minivans and sport utility vehicles as well as compact and full-size cars. The Hertz locations also offer pick-up and delivery service, Hertz #1 Club Gold counter service and vehicles equipped with Hertz’s in-car global positioning system, NeverLost®. Vehicles are also available for rental with unlimited mileage and all rate structures are honored, including one-way inter-city rates.



Raytheon wins $43 million
Defense Department contract




LEXINGTON – Raytheon Co. was recently awarded a $43 million contract to develop an additional 142 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles, software driven missiles that give pilots the ability to engage in multiple targets. The contract was awarded by the U.S. Air Force Air Armament Center Counterair Joint Systems Program Office in Florida.



This is the third additional order for missiles in Lot 16 contracts, which brings the total number of missiles ordered and made for the Air Force and Navy to 916 with a total contract value of more than $333 million. Work will be done at Raytheon’s Andover and Tucson, Ariz. facilities. Final assembly and delivery of the missiles is expected to be complete in August 2004.
