Bluestreak lands $16.5 million financing
NEWPORT – Bluestreak.com announced it had obtained another $16.5 million of investment funds, bringing the total the company has raised in the last nine months to $23.5 million, the Providence Journal reported. The new financing comes from StarVest Partners, CIT Venture Capital, Lazard Technology Partners and Zero Stage Capital. Bluestreak makes technology that permits expansion of banner ads to more complicated displays, including surveys, video clips and purchases from the site.

Langevin unveils Find It! Rhode Island
PROVIDENCE – Secretary of State James Langevin in conjunction with the Department of Administration, office of Library and Information Services, last week announced the opening of Rhode Island electronic government information locator service: Find-It! Rhode Island (www.find-it.state.ri.us). Langevin’s office said Find-It! Rhode Island is a search engine that enables individuals to find Web sites created by Rhode Island state and local governments for public use.

Teradyne profits more than double
BOSTON (Bloomberg) — Teradyne Inc., the world’s biggest maker of semiconductor-testing equipment, said third- quarter profit more than doubled as demand for computer chips boosted sales. Net income rose to $153.5 million, or 84 cents a share, from $62.7 million, or 35 cents, a year ago, Chief Executive George Chamillard said. Profit was in line with the average estimate of analysts polled by First Call/Thomson financial. The company’s sales rose 71 percent, to $848 million from $497 million, he said.

Axcelis third quarter net soars
BEVERLY, Mass. (Bloomberg) — Axcelis Technologies Inc., an Eaton Corp. unit that went public in July, said third-quarter earnings almost tripled on surging sales of its equipment to make semiconductors. Eaton said it plans to spin off its 82 percent stake in Axcelis to shareholders by year-end. Net income rose to $28.5 million, or 30 cents a share, from $9.65 million, or 12 cents, a year earlier. Sales jumped 68 percent to $182.5 million from $108.7 million. Sales advanced 10 percent from the second quarter’s $165.8 million. Axcelis had strong demand for all its products, Chief Executive Brian Bachman said in a news release.

ISS announces nine partnerships, including LOA
ATLANTA (PRNewswire)– Internet Security Systems (ISS) announced separate agreements with nine leading service providers, including Rhode Island based Log On America, to promote and deliver ISS’s full array of managed security services for e-business infrastructure protection. Partners, besides Log On America, are Lucent NetCare, PricewaterhouseCoopers, iGroup (division of Computacenter), Qwest Communications, HiFive!.net, NOCpulse, SevenSpace and the Sutherland Group.

Revit Technology completes third-round funding
WALTHAM, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE) – Revit Technology Corporation (www.revit.com), creator of the first parametric building modeler for the AEC industry, announced it has completed its third round of funding with an additional $6 million, including an investment by FleetBoston Financial Corporation .
