Hotel Providence gets Zagat’s recognition

PROVIDENCE – The luxury boutique Hotel Providence has been rated as the top hotel in Rhode Island for rooms and service in Zagat’s 2008 Guide for Top U.S Hotels, Resorts and Spas.
The hotel – at 311 Westminster St., in the heart of the Downcity Arts and Entertainment District – opened in early 2005. Its previous honors have included a Four Diamonds rating from AAA, Best of New England recognition from Yankee Magazine and New England Travel and Life, Best of the East honors from Meetings East magazine, and the state’s top rating in the 2007 Zagat Guide. It also was rated the Best Place to Work in Rhode Island in both 2006 and 2007, in the small/medium-size category, by Providence Business News.
