Hugh T. Clements Jr. has been selected to serve as deputy chief of the Providence Police Department. A major in the department, he currently oversees the Uniform Division. Clements has served nearly half of his 26-year career in the Providence Police Department’s Patrol Bureau, with the remainder spent in the Investigative Division, where he held roles of increasing responsibility. •
