Providence-based ImageMakers announced it has been acquired by Mediaweave, a new media development firm which specializes in corporate communications, design and software engineering. Mediaweave’s parent company is Woonsocket-based Rhode Island Soft Systems Inc., a developer of consumer and business software programs, specializing in Windows products such as multi-media titles, screensavers, utilities, games and licensed technologies.
A few months ago, ImageMakers owners Chuck and Leslie Davis sold the company’s Photo Lab division to Abar Imaging of Providence.

Mediaweave acquired not only of ImageMakers’ remaining assets, but also eight employees, which increase the Mediaweave staff by 50 perfect. Financial terms of the transaction are not being disclosed, but according to a press release from Mediaweave, the acquisition was entirely cash-based.
