Ronley Bates has been named senior vice president at Amica Mutual Insurance Company’s production department. He joined Amica in 1969 as underwriter in the Greater Boston office, was named an Amica officer in 1983 and was promoted to vice president/supervisor of the production division in 2000. Bates earned his insurance industry Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter professional designation from the Insurance Institute of America, Malern, Pennsylvania in 1975. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and a resident of Kingston, Mass.
