Robert Slocum, president of the Slocum Agency in Warwick, was recently elected president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Rhode Island. Slocum was elected to the IIARI board of directors in 1981 as a district vice president. He was re-elected in 1997 as a district vice president at large. He was elected to serve as a member of the IIARI executive committee in 1998.
