J. Scott Oberacker has joined the Rhode Island International Film Festival as the educational outreach director. He will work to develop and maintain the festivals’ educational outreach programs as well as aid in the selection and adjudication of the festival’s films. Oberacker has a Ph.D. in communication and media studies from the University of Massachusetts and has worked as a film scholar and teacher. ̶ •
