James Barron has been named vice president/accounting group manager at Citizens Bank. He previously worked as a vice president and group manager for FleetBoston Financial Corporation in Providence. He is a member of the Rhdoe Island Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. Barron is also a finance committee member for the town of Northbridge, Mass. He holds the position of treasurer of the Knights of Columbus in Uxbridge, Mass. He is president of the Uxbridge Rotary Club and serves on the board of Valley Adult Counseling Services in Mass. Barron received a bachelor’s degree from Worcester State College and his master’s degree from Bentley College in Waltham, Mass. He lives in Whitinsville, Mass.
