Janell Hayes has been promoted to mortgage loan officer at Westerly-based Washington Trust Company. She works out of the North Kingstown branch on Post Road. She joined the bank in 2002 as a servicing specialist. In her new role, Hayes is responsible for mortgage origination and consumer loans. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island and is currently pursuing an MBA.
