Janet Poole Karchner has been named director of catering at the Renaissance Providence Hotel. She will lead the catering sales division and event-
service areas. Karchner catering sales at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel and served as vice president of catering for HEI Hotels and Resorts. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics. •
