Janice M. Soares has been promoted to small business lending officer at The Washington Trust Co. in Westerly. She joined the bank in 1992 as head teller and most recently served as commercial credit officer. In her new role, Soares’ responsibilities include developing, analyzing and maintaining small business loans. She has a bachelor’s degree from Providence College.
