JoAnn Babat, a registered nurse, was named employee of the month for December at Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island. She was recognized for her dependability, compassion and willingness to assist others. She joined the organization in 1994 as a nurse at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. Babat received her registered nurse degree from St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, N.J. She and her husband live in North Kingstown.
