John S. Lombardo has been named to the board of directors of The Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Co. Previously, Lombardo served as senior vice president and CEO at a national property and casualty carrier. He also served in the same capacity at an asset-management firm in Boston, which managed assets totaling $51 billion. He has a B.A. from Brown University. •
