Jonathan Gates has been elected chief of medicine at Kent Hospital after serving as the assistant director of the hospital’s inpatient medical group since 2005. Gates is assistant program director of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine’s affiliated internal-medicine residency at Kent Hospital and chairs Kent’s institutional review board and the continuing medical-education committee. •
