Kate Colburn has been named director of hospice and palliative care services at Visiting Nurse Service of Greater Rhode Island. She previously worked as executive director of Hospice Care Inc in Stoneham, Mass. An author of numerous publications, Colburn frequently presents workshops and speaks on hospice care. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Colburn also holds a master’s degree from Drake University in Iowa. She lives in Warwick.
