Kathy O’Donnell has been named director of public affairs for Citizens Financial Group Inc. in Providence. She oversees media relations, community activities and community sponsorships for the company in Rhode Island. She joined the bank in 1995 as public relations manager. O’Donnell chairs the development committee of Children’s Friend & Service in Providence and has been an agency board member since 2002. She is also a member of the College of Arts & Sciences’ advisory committee at the University of Rhode Island. She is a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island. O’Donnell received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island. She and her family live in South Kingstown.
