Kevin McLaughlin had been appointed the dean of faculty at Brown University. He currently serves as the Nicholas Brown Professor of Oratory and Belles Lettres and professor of English, German studies and comparative literature. In addition, McLaughlin has been the chair of the Department of English since 2005 and in the last year has also served as the interim chair of the Department of German Studies. •
