Kristian Rangel has been named director of design at (add)ventures. Rangel is co-founder and president of Houston-based firm Avanzare LLC and specializes in Web site and mobile-application design. He will split his time between the Providence headquarters and the Miami offices. Rangel speaks three languages and has worked with clients in the United States, Mexico and Europe. He has a B.A. from Rhode Island School of Design. •
