MIDDLETOWN — KVH Industries announced that it was lowering its revenue expectations
for this year because of the national economic slump. KVH had predicted 30 percent
growth in revenue from last year, but now indicates that growth will be more like
15 to 20 percent. A manufacturer of electronic communications and navigational
devices, KVH reported a net loss of $2 million or 19 cents a share for the second
quarter. That compares with a net loss of $170,000 or 2 cents a share in the second
quarter a year ago.
