Larry Merlo, executive vice president of stores at CVS Corp., has been promoted to the newly created position of president of CVS/pharmacy–Retail. He will be responsible for store operations, merchandising, logistics, inventory, marketing and field operations support. Merlo is a graduate of George Washington University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He has been with CVS for more than 16 years.
