Michael P. Jolin, Esq. has joined the Providence law firm Tillinghast Licht Perkins Smith & Cohen, LLP as tax associate in the tax and public finance groups. He was formerly employed as tax manager for Ernst & Young in Chicago, served as an intern at the Chicago appeals office of the Internal Revenue Service. Jolin is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in economics and Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he was assistant to the associate dean and was selected to represent low-income taxpayers as a member of Loyola’s Federal Tax Clinic. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois as well as the United States Tax Court and plans to take the Rhode Island Bar exam this month. He resides in Seekonk, Massachusetts.
