Louisiana extends contract with GTECH

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. — The Louisiana Lottery Corporation has renewed a contract with
lottery giant GTECH. The five-year extension includes a provision for the installation
of a new instant-ticket system. The contract now begins in June of 2005 and runs
through June of 2010. The Louisiana Lottery has been a GTECH customer since 1991.
Proceeds from lottery sales there have exceeded $1.2 billion since the lottery’s
inception in 1991.
