Federated Department Stores Inc. and Warwick Mall LLC announced Monday they have signed an agreement for Warwick LLC to acquire the Macy’s store in Warwick Mall.
The Macy’s at Warwick Mall (309,000 square feet, opened in 1970) is a duplicate location Federated previously announced for divestiture as a result of its acquisition of The May Department Stores Co. The current Filene’s store in Warwick Mall will convert to Macy’s in spring 2006, following completion of a clearance sale that began on Jan. 29.
