Managing information with fewer people

HOPKINTON, MASS. — EMC Chief Executive Officer Joe Tucci believes customers need
to look at the entire cost of ownership of an information storage system — not
just the initial price tag. Tucci recently told the Dodge Report that the amounts
of information companies need to store will continue to surge. “There’s a trend
that storage is growing considerably faster than servers, and by 2003, institutions
will be paying more for storage than they do on servers. Customers need to control
this vast amount of information.”
